Overview
The Ariel KBE is a mid-line separable reciprocating compressor engineered, manufactured and supported to meet the requirements of natural gas gathering and compression leasing markets. It is offered with multiple cylinder configurations on two- or four-throw frame designs and combines the increased rod load and stiffness of KB-style designs with the cost advantages of E-style cylinders. Strength and versatility make the KBE well-suited for contract compression fleets.

Product features

• Heavy-duty crankshafts: Forged-steel, precision-machined crankshaft with integral counterweights, manufactured specifically by Ariel.
• Full-pressure lubrication: Frame-driven lube oil pump supplies cooled oil through a full-flow filter to all frame moving components; a divider-block system meters oil to cylinder bores and rod packings.
• Rugged crankcase: Heavily-ribbed gray-iron cast base with Ariel's removable aluminum top cover for long service life and ease of maintenance access.
• Innovative cylinders: Versatile cylinders designed for wide pressure ranges using valves that balance reliability and performance; cylinders can be combined in hundreds of configurations and are modeled with Ariel 7 Performance Software.

• Gray iron crankcase: Forged-steel crankshaft, gray iron crosshead guide, bronze thrust bearing, tri-metal main bearing.
• Ductile iron crosshead: Alloy-steel crosshead pin.
• Forged-steel connecting rod: Bronze crosshead pin bushing, tri-metal connecting rod bearing, grade 8 fasteners.
