Overview
The Ariel KBK and KBT are heavy-duty reciprocating compressors designed for continuous operation in gas and oil field applications. Built with reinforced components and multiple cylinder options, these frames accommodate standard and specialized process requirements while delivering up to 5,520 BHP in multi-throw arrangements.

Product Features

• High-strength bolting: Grade 8 bolting on all loaded joints and fatigue-resistant bolts on valve caps for secure joint integrity.
• Rigid connecting rods: Forged-steel rods with four-bolt, heavy-duty I-section design for increased durability.
• Rugged crossheads: One-piece Ariel crossheads with hardened, ground steel pins and direct full-pressure lubrication at top and bottom to minimize wear.
• Versatile cylinders: Cylinder and valve designs usable across wide pressure ranges; cylinders can be combined in many configurations to deliver required volume and pressure.
• Ariel 7 performance software: Engineering tool to model and configure compressor packages, with legacy and current cylinder designs available for replication or new builds.

Materials

• Gray iron crankcase: Forged-steel crankshaft, gray-iron crosshead guide, bronze thrust bearing, tri-metal main bearings.
• Ductile iron crosshead: Alloy-steel crosshead pin.
• Forged-steel connecting rod: Bronze pin bushing, tri-metal rod bearing, grade 8 stress bolts.
