Overview
Ariel JGN and JGQ separable reciprocating compressors are engineered for field-gas and CNG vehicle-fueling applications. Designed to couple with high-speed engines, these frames accept high-pressure cylinders and configurable valve/unloader options to match varying well and fueling conditions.

Applications & fleet use
Suitable for gas-lift, small-line field-gas service and CNG vehicle-fueling stations. Operators and rental fleet managers commonly select JGN and JGQ for single- and multi-stage (including three-stage) compressor trains in the 250–280 BHP frame class.

Product features

• Precision bearing shells: Main and connecting rod bearings are precision-machined with tri-metal composition for consistent alignment and service life.
• Versatile unloading devices: Manual and head-end variable volume clearance pockets (VVCP) on most cylinders; pneumatic suction valve unloaders available for selected applications.
• Efficient valves: Plate-type valves designed for modern operating speeds with non-metallic sealing elements as standard; valve selections conform to established low valve-velocity criteria.
• Modular cylinders: Cylinder designs operate reliably across wide pressure ranges and can be combined in multiple configurations to deliver required volumes and pressures. Ariel 7 Performance Software is used for configuration modelling.

• Gray iron crankcase: Forged steel crankshaft, gray iron crosshead guide, tri-metal main bearings.
• Ductile iron crosshead: Alloy steel crosshead pin.
• Forged steel connecting rod: Bronze crosshead pin bushing, tri-metal connecting rod bearing, grade 8 stress bolts.
