Product DescriptionThe Bettis Multiport Valve Actuator (MPA) is an electronic control and monitoring system developed for precise operation of Multiport Flow Selectors (MPFS) used in well testing and flow diversion applications in oil & gas operations. It interfaces with multi-port valves to enable controlled diversion to test outlets or sampling devices.
Key Features- Designed for control of multi-port flow selectors (MPFS) with 3 to 8 ports; commonly used in well production testing and integrated well surveillance.
- Enables diversion of flow from a single line to selected test outlets or sampling points.
- I/O and alarm monitoring with integral circuit breaker/disconnect, motor overload and thermal protection, loss of control voltage detection, encoder failure, stall detection and mechanical-fault alarms, plus 3‑phase monitoring and phase correction.
- Solid-state motor starter and embedded control software for precise positioning of the flow selector within ±1 degree of the selected port.
- High-performance microcontroller updates motor control output every 4 ms for accurate motor control and responsiveness.
- Optional Remote Display Module (RDM) provides identical display and control functions as local display module (LDM); allows remote operation up to 4,000 feet (≈1,219 m).
- Wide selection of 4-pole motors available for different voltage and torque requirements; configurable for MPFS from 3 to 8 ports.
- 12-bit magnetic encoder coupled directly to the valve stem for reliable position feedback.
