Description

Overview
The Bettis Stainless Steel M Series pneumatic actuator is engineered for reliable valve automation in aggressive and corrosive environments. Built with all-stainless-steel components, PTFE piston bearings and precision Scotch yoke mechanics, the M Series delivers long service life, reduced maintenance and secure spring handling for fail-safe operation. Typical sectors include chemical processing, power generation, water & wastewater, oil & gas and mining.

Key Features
  • All-stainless-steel construction for internal and external corrosion resistance
  • Scotch yoke design with precision bearings eliminates dead band and provides maximum torque at stroke ends
  • 17-4 PH stainless output shaft for high torque transmission and long life
  • Heat-treated stainless thrust pin and rollers reduce friction and improve torque efficiency
  • PTFE piston bearings, piston rod and output shaft bushings require no lubrication and extend service intervals
  • Bi-directional travel stops for accurate valve rotation adjustment
  • Universal position indicator and pointer for parallel or perpendicular mounting
  • Proximity switches can be direct-mounted in the actuator housing, removing need for external bracket and cam assemblies
  • NAMUR drive slot for compact accessory mounting without couplings
  • Available in symmetrical and canted yoke configurations to suit application requirements
  • Man-safe spring-return design allows spring disarming without special tools, improving maintenance safety and reducing downtime
