Overview
The DDC50S-21Y-1200 is a Type 2 pluggable DC surge protector developed for the transient overvoltage protection of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and EV chargers. It uses high-energy varistors combined with an internal thermal disconnection mechanism to ensure controlled disconnection at end-of-life and high protection capability. This model is rated for a maximum DC operating voltage of 1200 Vdc. A kit (article code: 1156339601) including the DDC50S-21Y surge protector and a specific high-test fuse (100,000 A tested) is available to secure ESS installations against high short-circuit currents.
