Overview Designed specifically for remote meter reading, this LoRaWAN sensor attaches to the LED display on electricity meters. Each LED flash corresponds to a specific consumption value, allowing the sensor to determine meter consumption by counting LED flashes.

Optical reading The supplied LED optical read head is mounted on the meter LED. It detects and counts visible LED flashes emitted by the meter and converts flashes into pulses (5 flashes = 1 pulse). The sensor stores the counted pulses and periodically transmits them for remote meter reading using a non-intrusive method compatible with common electricity meters.

Connectivity & modes

• Supported protocols: LoRaWAN and LoRa Easy.

• LoRa Easy mode: sends data to LoRa Easy receivers (available in Modbus, BACnet and HTTP versions). A receiver can collect data from multiple sensors and forward as Modbus, BACnet or JSON/HTTP.
