OverviewThese heavy-duty ball-locking pins provide positive locking in quick-change applications with frequent insertion and removal of a fixture. They offer repeatable clamping with a retractable-pin operation to avoid interference when removing the fixture from the base.
How it worksWhen the knob is rotated a quarter turn, the balls expand and lock the fixture in place. The fastener remains locked until the knob is turned to 'OFF', at which point the balls retract into the shank and the shank can be raised clear of the base plate for no-tool removal. The retractable pin allows the fastener to slide off the base without interference.
MaterialsFastener body: 303 stainless steel.
Knob: 304 stainless steel.
Wedge, balls and spring: stainless steel.
Usage / InstallationThread the pin into the fixture and mount the receptacle to the base. Designed to be used with the ball-lock receptacles referenced in the parts table.
