The GeoFilter GFB2 W3 is a high-performance, self-cleaning filter unit designed for efficient welding fume extraction. Tested and certified by the Institut für Arbeitsschutz der Deutschen Gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung (IFA) in Germany, it meets the strict requirements of DIN EN ISO 21904-1 and 21904-2, ensuring compliance with W3 classification standards.

This advanced filtration unit offers enhanced safety features compared to standard GFB2 models. It is equipped with a built-in alarm and lamp system, which notify users when the filter cartridges need to be replaced. To ensure maximum safety during maintenance, the filter cartridges are loosened from the top – the clean side – preventing direct contact with hazardous particles. Each cartridge can be safely removed using a plastic bag, minimising exposure and contamination risks.

The GeoFilter GFB2 W3 includes an automatic, timer-controlled cleaning function, pre-programmed from the factory. However, users can adjust parameters to suit specific needs. For increased efficiency, the timer control unit can be replaced with a differential pressure control system, which activates cleaning when a predefined pressure loss is detected.

To further enhance operational safety, a vacuum system is integrated into the dust collection bucket. This prevents dust and contaminants from being drawn back into the filter unit during emptying.
