TechnologiesThe dusty air is sucked into the cartridge such that the dust sticks to the outside of the filtering medium. The clean air within the filter exits at the top. The traditional method of cleaning the filter is by shaking out the filter material. Pulse jet cleaning, which uses compressed air, is the most common method employed today. This also can be accomplished by backflushing, blowing air from the interior to the exterior of the filter.
How to chooseChoice will depend on the characteristics of the air and the substances to be filtered. Selection of the filtering medium will be determined by air temperature and humidity, the humidity within the collector, the size, electrostatic and abrasive characteristics of the particles. Another important factor is the medium's ability to withstand chemical exposure.
