Description

Overview
The Classic Line is an electromagnetically released spring-applied brake for robust industrial drives. It brakes by spring force when de-energized and is released when DC voltage is applied. Thanks to its closed, ready-to-install design, it is especially suitable for applications requiring reliable braking and adjustable braking torque.

Advantages
  • Closed, ready-to-install brake system
  • Continuously and centrally adjustable braking torque
  • Electromagnetic release with DC voltage
  • Nearly residual-torque-free operation when released
  • No axial load on the shaft to be braked
  • Optionally available with integrated rectifier or manual release
  • Provision for mounting tachometers or rotary encoders

Application Areas
  • Machine tools
  • Geared motors
  • Hoists and crane systems
  • Printing and paper processing
  • Industrial drive systems with holding or braking function
