Description

Overview
Range of modular illumination components and universal epi‑illuminators for Nikon LV‑series industrial compound microscopes. The page summarises halogen, fibre, LED and fluorescence illumination options and compatibility with LV upright microscopes.

Halogen Illuminator
High‑intensity 12V‑50W halogen lamphouse: LV‑LH50PC. Although rated 12V‑50W, output brightness is equivalent to or higher than some 12V‑100W lamps. Low power consumption supports compact microscope design and reduces heat‑induced defocusing.

Fiber Illumination
  • HG pre‑centred fibre illuminator — Intensilight (for LV‑UEPI2 / LV‑UEPI2A).
  • No centring or focus adjustment required after lamp replacement.
  • Light source can be placed remotely to reduce heat and electrical noise at the microscope.
  • Six intensity levels (3%–100%) and integrated shutter.
  • Average lamp life ≈ 2000 hours to minimise replacements and operating costs.
  • Motorised variant recommended for use with LV150NA and LV100NDA.
  • Control: optional dedicated remote controller or PC control via Nikon NIS‑Elements imaging software.

D-LEDI Fluorescence LED Illumination System
D‑LEDI is a fluorescence‑dedicated LED source for Nikon upright industrial manual microscopes. Equipped with high‑power LEDs in four wavelength bands (385 nm, 488 nm, 550 nm and 621 nm). Operable via ergonomic control pad or PC (NIS‑Elements). Long operational life with no consumable lamps; suitable for high‑magnification observation where vibrations are low. Optimised for ECLIPSE LV150N and LV100ND microscopes.

Universal Illuminator
LV-UEPI-N
Universal epi‑illuminator supporting:
  • Brightfield
  • Darkfield
  • Simple polarising
  • DIC (Differential Interference Contrast)
  • Double‑beam interferometry

LV-UEPI2
Advanced optics for a wide variety of observation methods: brightfield, darkfield, simple polarising, first‑order red compensator observation, DIC, epi‑fluorescence (UV excitation possible), UV polarising epi‑fluorescence and double‑beam interferometry. Automatic maintenance of optimal illumination settings (aperture diaphragm, shutter, filters including diffuser and ND filter) to let the operator concentrate on observation.

LV-UEPI2A (Motorised)
Motorised universal epi‑illuminator where illumination changeover turret, aperture diaphragm and illumination voltage control are motorised to reproduce lighting conditions precisely for consistent image capture. Aperture is automatically optimised for the objective and technique, with manual override. When configured with the LV‑ECON E controller, illumination can be adjusted from the controller or a connected PC.

LED Illuminator
LV-EPILED
White LED illuminator optimised for brightfield observation. Lightweight, compact design. Operated via attached power source controller; external control possible using LV‑ECON E. All illuminators described are designed for the LV series.
