Description

Product Overview
Paramount chopper conveyor fans are industrial units designed to cut and convey a wide range of materials. Developed over 25 years, these fans provide continuous, low‑maintenance operation in processes that require integrated cutting and pneumatic conveying.

Key Features
  • Paddle‑blade impeller that cuts and conveys material in a single stage.
  • Impeller blades fitted with bolted 6 mm low‑carbon manganese hardened steel cutting blades for impact and wear resistance.
  • Large‑diameter shaft mounting to support high loads and reduce deflection.
  • Sealed‑for‑life bearings to limit maintenance interventions.
  • Adjustable inlet to tune cutting characteristics and optimise conveying performance.

Materials & Construction
Paramount uses non‑alloy structural grade steel for the paddle‑blade impeller to achieve enhanced strength under load. Cutting blades are made from low‑carbon manganese hardened steel and bolted to the leading edge of each paddle for straightforward replacement.

Inlet & Wear Protection
  • Adjustable inlet geometry for fine tuning of cut size and throughput.
  • Optional anti‑roping knives for continuous trim applications to prevent material wrapping around the impeller.
  • Optional case‑hardening of the inlet cone for abrasive materials to extend service life.

Applications
  • Designed for paper, tissue, corrugated board, aluminium foil, plastics, scrap cans and flock.
  • Suitable for printing, packaging and recycling lines requiring combined cutting and pneumatic conveying of waste.

Performance & Options
  • Compatible with Variable Speed Drives (VSD) for process tuning and potential energy savings when paired with system analysis.
  • Acoustic enclosures, inlet/outlet silencers and sound‑proofing wrap available for noise‑sensitive environments.
  • Manufacturing records and spare parts supply often stocked to reduce downtime.
