Description

Overview
The Paramount Rotary Separator separates waste from conveying air while minimising system pressure drop. Unit sizing is based on conveying air volume and waste type/volume. Performance remains stable within design limits for variable air and waste flows.

Design & Operation
The unit features a rotating paddle assembly with wear‑resistant rubber strips mounted on the paddle tips. These strips continuously scour a heavy‑duty cylindrical perforated separation screen to remove entrained waste while allowing conveying air to pass with minimal pressure drop. The rubber strips form an airtight seal between the upper and lower sections. The rotating paddle conveys waste to the discharge side; conveying air exits through the top without disturbing the gravitational fall of waste into the bin or compactor below.

Construction & Durability
The housing and internal components are manufactured from 3 mm‑thick steel for strength and long service life. Each unit is pressure‑tested before dispatch to verify integrity and leak‑tightness. The robust construction supports smooth operation under heavy loads.

Drive & Mounting
A British‑manufactured motorised gearbox drives the paddle, providing reliable operation and extended service life. The gearbox is mounted on shock‑absorbing rubber bobbins to reduce vibration and improve stability. An integral motor cut‑out is included for protection and safe operation.

Advantages & Applications
The Paramount Rotary Separator has a compact footprint suitable for low‑height installations and can handle a wide range of difficult wastes, including light materials (e.g., tissue) and materials prone to static charge. It accommodates multiple feed lines without losing balance, making it suitable for systems collecting waste from several sources.

Typical Benefits
  • Efficient separation of waste from conveying air with minimal pressure drop
  • Compact footprint suitable for low‑height installations
  • Robust 3 mm steel construction and pressure‑tested units
  • Wear‑resistant rubber strips for continuous screen cleaning
  • British‑manufactured motorised gearbox with vibration‑damping mounts
  • Capable of handling light and static‑charged wastes and multiple feed lines
