Description

Overview
CCD detection counting machine RD-DSL-16Pro integrates high-resolution imaging and controlled lighting to count and visually inspect moving units such as tablets, capsules, softgels or gummies on pharmaceutical and nutraceutical bottling lines. The system converts optical information into digital data for real-time counting and defect detection, flagging non-conforming items and signaling automatic rejection mechanisms to ensure downstream compliance.

How it works
Image acquisition uses an industrial-grade camera with selectable illumination (dome, backlight, coaxial or spectral) to deliver high-contrast images. Sensor output is digitized (ADC) and processed by an industrial PC (IPC) in real time. Core image processing steps include threshold segmentation, edge detection, morphological filtering and connected component analysis to identify individual objects. Extracted morphological and color features are compared to stored recipes; out-of-tolerance items trigger a reject signal coordinated with the PLC for synchronized ejection.

Specification
  • Max output: up to 100 bottles/min
  • Counting accuracy: 100% (visual counting and inspection)
  • Applicable product size: 3–40 mm (capsule/tablet/gummy)
