Overview
Star-wheel capping machine with precision indexing star-wheel and mechanical pick-and-place cap placement. Photoelectric sensors control the cap feeder and pause automatically when the delivery chute is full to prevent jams. Constructed in hygienic 316L stainless steel and designed for cGMP-compliant production, the machine is suitable for pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food packaging where scratch-free finishing and high accuracy are required. It integrates with counting, powder or liquid filling equipment to form modular bottling lines.

Working principle
The machine works on an intermittent indexing principle: bottles are conveyed into pockets on a custom-machined star-wheel which holds each bottle stationary during capping. Caps are sorted and delivered via a chute; photoelectric sensors regulate the feeder (pause when chute full, restart when empty). A mechanical pick-and-place arm positions caps onto bottle mouths for correct threading before the capping torque is applied, ensuring scratch-free and accurate tightening.
