Description

Overview
The Swiss GT series are automatic Swiss‑type lathes designed for the production of short and long turned parts. The range offers straightforward access to all tool positions and comes with a complete standard equipment package including automatic lubrication, a swarf tray and a high‑volume removable oil pan. Available models: Swiss GT 13 (13 mm), Swiss GT 26 / 26B (25.4 mm) and Swiss GT 32 / 32B (32 mm).

Main advantages
  • Ergonomic, modular design for rapid tool access
  • Operation with or without guide bush
  • Optional B axis for extended machining capability
  • Optional simultaneous 5‑axis machining
  • Modular tooling system on rear platen for versatile setups
  • Easy setting and maintenance (automatic lubrication, swarf tray, removable oil pan)
  • Designed for precision turned parts production

Capability highlights
Swiss GT 26 and Swiss GT 32 accept up to 40 tool positions (including up to 14 powered/rotating tools); Swiss GT 13 accepts up to 30 tool positions (including up to 12 powered/rotating tools). The Y axis (counter‑operation) significantly increases secondary‑operation capability and enables some complex parts to be produced without reworking.

B axis and optional configurations
The B axis (optional on certain models) extends capabilities for complex parts. The Swiss GT 26B and Swiss GT 32B feature a modular B‑axis position that can house either a fourth rotating drilling station or a thread‑whirling head. Configurations support modular rear tooling, conversions to guide‑bushless operation, and additional driven tool stations.
