Description

Product introduction
UHV-280 is an automatic AC withstand voltage tester designed to perform dielectric strength and leakage current tests on insulating boots, insulating gloves and related protective tools. The system comprises a control console, 8-position test rack, oil‑immersed booster (test transformer) and optional accessories (electroscope racks, insulating rod rack, grounding trays). It supports simultaneous testing of up to 8 samples with independent trip per channel and anti‑interference wireless leakage transmission to the console for centralized monitoring and recording.

Product features
  • Simultaneous AC withstand voltage and leakage current measurement for up to 8 boots or gloves with individual per‑sample readings.
  • Dry boot test method using small steel balls — eliminates water filling and simplifies post‑test drying.
  • HV/LV separation and anti‑interference wireless transmission of leakage data to the control console for improved operator safety.
  • Independent trip/breaking mechanism per channel: a breakdown or over‑limit leakage on one sample does not interrupt other channels.
  • 7‑inch TFT touchscreen showing test voltage, 8‑channel leakage currents, calendar, timing and prompts.
  • DC/stepper motor controlled booster for fully automatic voltage ramp, hold, timing and shutdown; test results and leakage traces are saved automatically.
  • Dedicated stainless‑steel grounding tray for boots and dedicated stainless‑steel container for glove tests for safe, repeatable setup.
  • Adjustable transformer ratio to match customer transformers and application requirements; built‑in overcurrent protection.

Technical parameters
  • Model: UHV-280
  • Power supply: 220 V ±10% 50 Hz
  • Control console output: 0–250 V, 12 A
  • Booster (high voltage) output: 30 kV – 500 kV
  • Output capacity: 3 kVA – 100 kVA
  • High‑voltage leakage current range: up to 29.9 mA; resolution 0.01 mA; accuracy ±1% +3 digits
  • Leakage trip threshold (per sample): ≥12 mA (configurable)
  • Timing: programmable up to 99 minutes
  • Operating conditions: -10℃ to 40℃, ≤90% RH (no condensation)

  • Control console weight: 25 kg; test machine weight: 20 kg

Instrument advantages
  • Fully automated sequence compliant with national standards: automatic ramp, hold, timing and shutdown to improve throughput and repeatability.
  • Clear operator interface and digital parameter entry for target voltage, leakage thresholds and test time; local data printing and storage available.
  • Per‑channel isolation and intelligent protections (overcurrent/overvoltage) to protect personnel and equipment.
  • Configurable output and measurement ranges to match various testing standards and production needs.
  • Integrated data management with real‑time display and optional micro‑printer for traceable records.

Application scenarios
  • Periodic inspection of insulating PPE (boots, gloves, helmets) in utilities and maintenance departments.
  • On‑site acceptance tests at substations and transmission/distribution sites for new or replaced insulating tools.
  • Batch testing in safety tool testing centers and third‑party laboratories with automatic result determination.
  • Factory outgoing quality control for manufacturers of insulating protective equipment.
  • Electrical safety management in industrial sectors (petrochemical, metallurgy, mining, rail, ports, large manufacturing).

FAQ
  • Q: Why test insulating boots and gloves with withstand voltage? A: To detect insulation degradation (aging, wear, moisture, contamination or damage) that can cause leakage or breakdown and pose shock risk.
  • Q: What items can be tested? A: Primarily power‑frequency AC withstand voltage testing of insulating boots and gloves; with appropriate fixtures, some other insulating tools can be tested.
  • Q: What if one sample breaks down during a test? A: The channel's independent trip isolates the failed sample automatically so other samples continue testing.
