The YDJ Oil-immersed High Voltage Test Transformer (YDJ series) is a compact, lightweight and highly integrated AC/DC hipot test set for power-frequency withstand testing of cables, electrical components and insulating materials in industrial environments.

Operating and safety instructions of oil-immersed AC/DC hipot tester

• Ensure reliable earthing of the transformer tank and the control system; connect HV X terminal and measured winding F terminal to protective earth.
• For cascade operation, follow specified connections for low-voltage X, winding F and HV winding X; additional transformer housings must be earthed via insulating supports.
• Set adapter/regulator to "zero" before powering on. Increase voltage smoothly using the regulator wheel: recommended rise modes — quick (~20 s), slow (~60 s) or very slow. After reaching ~75% of target, raise at ~2%/s until target while monitoring instruments.
• On abnormal indications, immediately reduce voltage or stop the test. After test completion, ramp voltage to zero within a few seconds and switch off power.
• Operate only within rated parameters. Personnel must be familiar with the manual and applicable national standards for high-voltage testing.
