YDQ Digital Display 5kVA AC/DC Hipot Tester is a modern, microprocessor-controlled instrument designed for precise dielectric withstand testing on electrical equipment like transformers and cables. Its key advantages include a robust 5kVA capacity for testing capacitive loads, a clear digital interface for accurate voltage and leakage current readings, programmable test sequences for automated operation, and data logging capabilities for result documentation and compliance reporting. This combination of power, precision, and automation makes it ideal for both quality control in manufacturing and maintenance testing in electrical utilities.

Features of inflatable AC DC high voltage tester
The inflatable test transformer is small in size, in light weight(It is 40%-65 lighter than the same grade oil-immersed transformer)
Spotless, greaseless, There is no need to maintain
Free from adverse weather and environment, The field transport should be stationary and can be tested
The insulation strength is obviously higher than that of oil-immersed transformer, Minimal corona
Faq of YDQ AC/DC hipot tester
1. What is the difference between inflatable AC/DC hipot testers and oil immersed test transformers?
The inflatable AC/DC hipot tester uses SF ₆ gas as the insulation medium, which has the characteristics of small volume, light weight, good insulation performance, and no risk of oil leakage. Compared to oil immersed test transformers, it is more suitable for on-site mobile testing and use in high-altitude areas.
2. Why use SF ₆ gas insulation?
SF ₆ gas has excellent insulation and arc extinguishing properties, with insulation strength about 2-3 times that of air. Therefore, it can effectively reduce equipment volume, improve operational stability and safety.
3. Will SF gas leak?
The equipment adopts a high-quality sealed structure design, and the annual leakage rate is extremely low under normal use. Each device undergoes airtightness testing, pressure resistance testing, and aging testing before leaving the factory to ensure long-term stable operation.
4. If overload or breakdown occurs during the test, will the YDQ AC/DC hipot tester be damaged?
The self-healing property of internal gas insulation is excellent: when the test sample breaks down and discharges, the arc will not produce carbide particles that contaminate the insulation like in oil. After the discharge is completed, the gas insulation performance is instantly restored, and the transformer itself is not easily damaged. Many customers have provided feedback that the same misoperation may result in the oil transformer directly burning out the winding, while the inflatable type often remains unscathed.
