This sophisticated, fully modernized test set is designed for performing AC and DC dielectric withstand (hipot) and insulation tests on high-capacity electrical equipment. Its defining features include a digital display and a high power rating of 10 kVA, placing it in a significantly higher performance class compared to older pointer-style models.
Technical parameters
Voltage class: 10 kV~300 kV
Capacity range: 1~500 kVA
Impedance voltage: < 8%
No-load current: < 7%
Product types: AC, AC & DC, AC cascade, AC/DC cascade
The inflatable test transformer is small in size, in light weight(It is 40%-65 lighter than the same grade oil-immersed transformer)
Spotless, greaseless, There is no need to maintain
Free from adverse weather and environment, The field transport should be stationary and can be tested
The insulation strength is obviously higher than that of oil-immersed transformer, Minimal corona
Applications / Aliases
High voltage test set
Test transformer
Hipot test kit
Precautions for YDQ Inflatable AC/DC Hipot Testers
1. During transportation, the equipment should be handled with care, especially not damaging the casing, as it is filled with high-pressure gas.
2. The layout of testing equipment should have sufficient safety distance from people. Try to avoid placing equipment and applying high voltage leads in personnel passages as much as possible.
3. The test site should be fenced and hung with "Parking, High Voltage Danger" signs.
4. During the experiment, the high-voltage lead wire should have supporting or traction insulation. There should be security personnel to prevent personnel from approaching and passing through from below.
5. In the DC high voltage test, when the microampere meter is in the high position, there should be an overcurrent automatic protection device in addition to the shielding box, in case of sudden breakdown, short circuit or discharge that may burn out the instrument
6. Power frequency withstand voltage test: Please check if the equipment capacity is sufficient to avoid resonance.
7. The working ground wire (the ground wire at the end of the high-voltage tail and stabilizing capacitor) and the protective ground wire (the casing of the operation box) are connected separately and have good grounding performance.
8. In testing, if there is irregular oscillation of the power supply (such as welding), it will affect the stability of the high-voltage output. At this point, the experiment should be stopped, the cause identified, and eliminated.
9. The climate (temperature and humidity) requirements for the experimental work should comply with the requirements of the experimental regulations and be recorded properly.
10. High voltage testing should be strictly conducted in accordance with the relevant provisions of the safety work regulations issued by the Ministry of Energy.
What tests can YDQ AC/DC Hipot Testers be used for? Can we do DC withstand voltage?
Mainly used for AC withstand voltage testing, such as:
Power cable (requires series resonant device, which can be used as an excitation transformer)
High voltage motors and generators
Induction withstand voltage of the transformer itself
Regarding DC: The inflatable test transformer itself outputs AC. If DC output is required, it can be converted to DC by adding a high-voltage rectifier silicon stack, which can be used for both purposes.
