To optimise the life of your drive, you need :
- a professional belt designed for your application
- a perfectly tensioned belt
- perfectly aligned pulleys
Thanks to its know-how, Hutchinson puts at your disposal Easytec, its new universal tensionmeter.
This new tool is essential for your daily successes in measuring belt tension as its is compact, easy to use and provides accurate measurements.
For further information, please feel free to contact us.

|
A professional belt drive achieves its maximum lifetime when it is configured specifically to the application, the belt is perfectly tensioned and the pulleys are precisely aligned.
The TRUMMETER is an electronic measuring instrument that consists of a measuring probe and a microprocessor and is used for measuring the belt tension and checking the strand force of a belt drive.
The measurement result is displayed either in hertz, newtons or poundforce.
This measured value can be compared with the nominal value – specified by the belt drive manufacturer (as a natural frequency in Hz or a strand force in N). It is dependent on the characteristics of the drive. |

A single integral unit provides simultaneous lateral (transverse) strain and averaged axial strain measurement. The unit is also available as an averaged axial extensometer alone.
This extensometer is ideally suited for testing anisotropic materials such as advanced composites as well as for general purpose tests like determining Poisson's ratio. The Model 3560-BIA uses a design unique to Epsilon, where the knife edges remain parallel during the displacement. This approach greatly reduces crosstalk between axes and allows use on round or flat specimens with equal ease. These extensometers are very easy to mount. Integral springs hold the unit on the test sample. The parallel multiple flexure design makes these units very durable. |

Optical metrology equipment for climatologists and meteorologists
The industrial laser ceilometer from JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH measures such atmospheric parameters as cloud height, visibility and the height of a planetary boundary layer. The product provides the first ever metrological device to safely detect also cloud layers and cirrus clouds at height levels up to 15 kilometers. This marks a major progress in the science of meteorological and climatologic forecasting. Measurement is accomplished with an opto-electronic laser detector that relies on the LIDAR principle, an optical version of radar: A solid-state laser emits light pulses into the atmosphere. The light which is scattered by air and aerosol molecules is collected with a specific optical setup to be detected by a highly sensitive photo receiver (APD). By analyzing the pulse transit time and the intensity of backscattered light portions, smart algorithms compute a high-resolution aerosol height profile along with other related measurement readings. With integrated heating and cooling functionality and designed for autonomous operation, the CHM 15k can be relied to perform in any weather conditions.

The HC-MDi check weigher is an efficient combination of checkweigher and industrial metal detector. The “i” in HC-MDi stands for the metal detector. It is fully incorporated within the checkweigher, so that weight module and metal detector form one single unit. The combination is achieved within the tightest of space constraints with a central, single point menu operation for both devices via the weighing module controller. The HC control concept is based on a fully integrated industrial PC system.
It has an output capacity of 400 pieces / min. What is more, in terms of measurement precision, it operates with a maximum standard deviation of 50 mg over a gross weighing capacity of 3750 g. The sub-frame is made entirely of stainless steel and meets a protection rating of IP 65 (spray water from above). This makes it predestined for use in the food industry. The HC-MDi weighs packed and unpacked food products with precision and additionally checks them for metal contamination. When the product input is changed on the checkweigher, these parameters are communicated automatically to the metal detector. As an integral part of the device, the high frequency metal detector can detect very low-level contamination in the form of steel, iron, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass etc. |

The concrete test hammers are used for the non-destructive control of the concrete quality. The compressive strength fc is established by converting the measured hardness (rebound R) of the concrete surface. Hammers of various impact energies can be used according to the form and sizes of the concrete structures.
Types with paper strips register the rebound automatically on the paper.
|
|
Addressing the industry need to create a concrete test hammer that can deliver accurate readings on virtually any concrete from any direction, on any surface without the need to compensate for impact direction, Switzerland-based Proceq announces the new SilverSchmidt concrete test hammer.
The Swiss-made SilverSchmidt is ergonomically designed and offers unprecedented benefits when measuring the compressive strength of on-site concrete structures. The SilverSchmidt measures the true rebound coefficient (termed “Q”-value) and converts it to compressive strength. The instrument is controlled via a graphic user-interface featuring a single button and inclination
sensing.
Features of the SilverSchmidt include: extended range, improved ease of use and more reliability, as well as higher readability. The SilverSchmidt comes with various modes of statistics, built-in corrections for carbonation, and up-to-date conversion curves for a variety of modern concrete mixtures.
The SilverSchmidt complies with most international standards.
To assure the compatibility with the established standard, the unit also professional displays the “R”-value. |
|
The combination of the ORIGINAL SCHMIDT Concrete Test Industrial hammer, which has an electronic display unit makes the DIGI-SCHMIDT Digital Concrete Test Hammer ideally suited for systematic high volume measuring.
Various parameters such as impact direction, form and time factors, depth of carbonatization etc. can be set. The compressive strength will be automatically calculated with the integrated conversion curves.
Extensive display, evaluations and storage of data as well as transmission to professional printer and PC are possible.
|
|
Test hammers are used to determine the surface hardness of concrete and are one of the most widely used instruments in the field of non destructive evaluation (NDT) of concrete compressive strength. It is the quickest, simplest and least expensive method to obtain an estimate of the quality and strength of the concrete.
Both mechanical and digital test hammers are available.
Elcometer 181 Mechanical Concrete Test Industrial hammer
This simple to use gauge consists of a spring loaded plunger which, when released, strikes the surface with fixed and constant impact energy.
Elcometer 182 Digital Concrete Test Hammer
The digital and more advanced version, is equipped with an electronic transducer which converts the rebound values into a reading on the digital display. It professional displays a range of statistics and there is a facility to download to a PC.
