RINGSPANN- Disc Brakes can be used for various functions, i.e.
as a parking brake it prevents the unintended start of a stationary shaft;
as a stopping brake it brings a rotating shaft to a standstill in a short time, even when this is only in connection with a power failure or emergency stop;
as a control brake it maintains a certain tension in the material.
Brake callipers or brake saddles may be arranged in any position on disc brakes of varying diameters. By using several brake callipers on the same disc it is possible to increase the brake torque without the need to enlarge the installation dimensions to any great extend. All brakes are available with an electric wear indicator and with automatic wear adjustment.
|
|
Most of our industrial brakes are offered in both wet and dry configurations. Variations on shaft and spline sizes are also a common option. In addition, Ausco offers a number of specialty multi-disc brakes for articulated vehicles, mining shuttle cars, etc.
The torque (lib-in) averange from 6000 to 20000

Wide product range including manual, pneumatic and industrial hydraulic brakes; also available in the failsafe version (spring applied) for safety and emergency applications.
Max. braking force from 150 to 40 000 N. All models equipped with linings wear compensation system, incliend mounting kit and pads self-alignment system.
Available optionals: linings wear indicators, on/off indicator.
SG iron discs available ex stock. |

Ogura’s multiple disk clutches and brakes come in both a dry or “wet” type. The wet (in oil) type can run approximately 3 times faster than that dry type. This is because the oil helps dissipate heat generated at higher RPMs, but you may find it surprising that the wet type can also produce higher operating torque, both statically and dynamically.
Ogura products are manufactured in Europe, North and South America and Asia. Manufacturing plants are ISO9001, 14001 and TS16949 compliant. Clutches and brakes are RoHS compliant.
UK, European and Scandinavian customers please contact Michel Hehnen at mhehnen@ogura-clutch.com. All other inquiries should go to Jim Andes at jandes@ogura-clutch.com. |
