Product overviewCeramic bobbin heaters are steatite-based heating elements designed for direct air heating or for installation inside radiation tubes for indirect heating. They are assembled from ceramic segments to reach the required length; each segment includes recesses that house exposed heating coils, protecting the coil from chassis contact and ensuring reliable electrical insulation.
Design and electrical insulationThe open heating coil is positioned within ceramic recesses so it does not contact the metal chassis. This construction maintains good electrical insulation and allows flexible assembly of segments to meet length and shape requirements for free installation or in-tube mounting.
Indirect heating and mountingThese heaters are commonly used for indirect heating of liquids, air and gases when placed inside removable radiation tubes. Tubes are installed into the medium so the heater can be serviced or replaced without emptying or opening the tank. Tubes can be supplied with flanges or threads and can be fitted with built-in sensors, thermostats or limiters and custom connection boxes.
Applications and designsTypical applications include hot air ovens, industrial baths and tanks, oil heaters, air heaters and boilers. Ceramic bobbin heaters are available in cylindrical and rectangular constructions and can be adapted to process-specific requirements.
