OverviewThe finned tubular heater increases heat-emitting surface area to deliver efficient heating of air and process gases. Fins are formed by spiraling a thin metal plate around a resistive heating tube or by attaching rectangular plate fins.
Design and variantsHeaters are supplied in straight lengths or formed into U-, M- and S-shaped configurations. Multiple elements are commonly assembled into frames or ducts to create air-heating batteries and duct heaters.
