Description

Product overview
Tubular heaters are core components for electrical heating. IHP tubular heaters are used in a wide range of industrial applications to heat air, gases, liquids, salts, minerals and solids by conduction or radiant heat. They are available as custom designs or from a standard range for fast delivery.

Construction
IHP tubular heaters consist of a metal sheath containing a power-rated spiral resistance wire centered in the tube and surrounded by compressed magnesium oxide, which insulates the resistor from the outer tube. Heaters are sealed, fitted with electrical terminations and can be bent, coiled or formed to specification. Common fixings include flanges, nipples or threaded plugs.

Materials and coatings
A broad selection of sheath materials is offered, including copper, stainless steels, acid-resistant stainless steel, 254 SMO, Incoloy® 800, Incoloy® 825, aluminium and titanium. For corrosive bath applications, tubular heaters can be coated with PTFE (Teflon®) for additional protection.

Safety and options
Double-insulated tubular heaters are available for installations without protective earth to enhance user safety. Integrally fitted fuses can be supplied for passive protection. Supply voltage and power ratings are customizable to application requirements. IHP focuses on customized tubular heaters while maintaining a standard range for rapid supply.

Control and regulation
IHP can supply complete control cabinets and regulation systems tailored to temperature control requirements and the application environment.
