Overview
Dual-mode fiber lasers integrate single-mode and multi-mode outputs within a single fiber to enable rapid switching between small and large spot sizes. Designed for high-throughput metal additive manufacturing, sintering and welding applications, these lasers provide configurable power distribution and on-the-fly beam shaping for process flexibility and throughput improvement.

Adjustable Mode Technology
On-the-fly switching between spot sizes (<50 µs) enables sequential processing of fine and coarse features without mechanical beam-size changes. The technology delivers repeatable switching, independent adjustment of each output's power and fluence, and stable performance in production environments.

Two Spot Sizes. One Laser.
The integrated dual-mode concept eliminates slow external bulk optics for spot changes, enabling near-constant fluence switching for higher throughput in additive manufacturing and welding workflows.
