Description

Overview
IPG proprietary pulse shaping technology enables creation of desired temporal pulse shapes, from near-transform-limited femtosecond pulses to programmable optical waveforms and multi-pulse sequences. Pulse shapers are available as standalone femtoSHAPE instruments or integrated with IPG ultrafast fiber laser sources (e.g. YLPF-FlexO).

Key capabilities
  • Proprietary Fourier-domain pulse shaping with programmable LCOS SLM
  • Phase-and-amplitude control via diffractive shaping
  • Configurable across a wide spectral range and application-specific bandwidths
  • Offered as standalone femtoSHAPE-SR / femtoSHAPE-HP or integrated into ultrafast lasers

Standalone femtoSHAPE pulse shapers
femtoSHAPE units are intended for dispersion pre-compensation and general pulse shaping to achieve near-Fourier-transform-limited durations at a target. Typical uses include multiphoton microscopy, nonlinear spectroscopy, high harmonic generation and other nonlinear optical experiments. Units ship with a compact spectrometer, nonlinear optical detection kit and software including MIIPS-based push-button compression and time-domain shaping/calibration routines.

femtoSHAPE-SR
Cost-effective, compact spectrally-configurable LCOS SLM-based femtosecond pulse shaper suitable for pulse compression and most shaping tasks; operates at repetition rates from 100 Hz to 1 GHz.

femtoSHAPE-HP
Designed for post-amplification compression and shaping of mJ-level femtosecond pulses. Features high-power-capable optics, water-cooled LCOS SLM heads and sealed packaging for high power/energy handling. Optimized configurations for 800 nm and 1030 nm, spectral ranges up to ~100 nm.

Ultrafast lasers with integrated pulse shapers
IPG offers ultrafast lasers with integrated programmable pulse shapers that allow tailoring pulse parameters to application requirements. Integrated systems enable direct control of pulse duration, chirp (including large linear chirp values), multi-pulse sequences and amplitude/phase encoding.

YLPF-FlexO — highlighted product features
Examples include sub-40 fs transform-limited pulses (typical), pulse energy > 50 nJ at target, and programmable control to stretch (chirp) or shape pulses by encoding spectral phase and amplitude profiles. The combination of pulse-shaping versatility and IPG fiber architecture suits scientific, biomedical and advanced research applications.
