Overview
BSTFLEX removable pump insulation covers are custom-made for industrial pumps handling heated process media. Each reusable cover is patterned around the pump casing, suction and discharge connections, supports and service points to reduce exposed heat while keeping seals, bearings, couplings and other maintenance areas accessible.

Industrial Pump Insulation Without Blocking Service Access
Pumps combine curved casings, flanged connections, support feet, shaft penetrations and nearby piping within a compact space. A custom removable pump insulation jacket follows the equipment profile while separating areas that must remain accessible. Covers may be supplied as one wraparound piece or multiple numbered sections to permit removal of a casing section without disturbing adjacent insulation.

Multi-Layer Construction
The final layer system is selected according to operating temperature, pump media, installation environment, available clearance and removal frequency. A typical removable pump insulation cover includes an outer protective layer, a thermal insulation core, a hot-face liner and reusable fastening hardware.

Custom Pattern and Section Design
Covers are patterned to fit complex casing geometry, shaft/ seal openings and local access requirements. Covers can be divided into sections for casing, suction and discharge connections; overlapping flaps and labeled sections can improve access and installation repeatability.

Fastening Options
Closure selections depend on temperature, vibration, available space and removal frequency. D-rings and straps, stainless-steel hooks, springs and lacing wire are typical options. Closures should be positioned for safe access and may include reinforced pull tabs for handling with gloves.

Inspection and Maintenance Considerations
Covers must not restrict shafts, couplings, cooling airflow or necessary drain paths. During maintenance inspect for contamination, damaged seams, loose hardware and heat-related deterioration. Wet or chemically contaminated insulation cores should be examined and addressed rather than simply reinstalled.

Heat Retention, Personnel Protection and Process Stability
Insulating an exposed pump casing reduces unwanted heat transfer, supports heat retention for heated media and reduces direct exposure to hot surfaces. Actual thermal performance depends on surface temperature, ambient conditions, insulation type and thickness, coverage and installation quality. Where a specific external surface temperature or heat-loss value is required, provide design conditions for review.

OEM and Replacement Supply
Covers can be produced from engineering drawings, site measurements, templates, photographs or approved physical samples for prototypes, small quantities or repeat OEM supply. Part numbers, section labels and packaging requirements can be incorporated for repeat programs.
