Description

Description The WEH® ultra-high-pressure relief valve VRA-1-S1 protects hydraulic fluid systems by discharging excess pressure when a preset pressure is reached. The valve remains closed until the set pressure is reached thanks to an internal spring. On exceeding the set point, it opens and vents the medium via outlet B2. Sealing is provided by a replaceable metal sealing seat. Pressure rings and pressure screws for the corresponding 60° Cone & Thread high-pressure tube connections are supplied pre-assembled. The customer must specify the required setting pressure when ordering; a tolerance of ±100 bar applies. WEH adjusts and leak-tests the valve at room temperature and seals the adjustment screw. Actual set pressure may vary with temperature changes or after long intervals between actuations.

Application WEH® pressure relief valves are designed for high-pressure hydraulic systems using liquids (fluid group 2 DGR), e.g. hydraulic oil. Alternative versions for other media or pressure ranges are available on request. VRA-1-S1 valves are not classified as safety valves or safety accessories according to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU or the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code.
