Overview
The RNJ HE308 rack & panel blind-mate connector is derived from the HE308 / D38999 Series I family and is designed for harsh-environment applications requiring repeatable blind mating between a rack and a panel. It provides scoop-proof mating, EMI shielding with grounding of shells before contact engagement, and multiple sealing elements for high resistance to moisture.

Standards & compatibility
The RNJ HE308 connector is HE308 qualified and derived from D38999 Series I. It accepts D38999 Series I and III inserts and is compatible with contacts and inserts used across the D38999 family. Optical termini support follows applicable optical interface standards used in similar connector families.

Additional description
The RNJ family provides guided blind-mate capability with realignment tolerances on three axes to accommodate axial, angular and longitudinal misalignment during blind mating. A wide range of shell styles and finishes enables adaptation to many mechanical and environmental installation constraints.
