OverviewHigh-temperature NEMA 12 Cabinet Cooler® systems with thermostat control for ambient conditions from 125°F to 200°F (52°C to 93°C). Thermostat-controlled units include an adjustable thermostat factory-set at 95°F (35°C) to activate cooling only when internal temperatures approach the set point. EXAIR Cabinet Cooler® units use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air with no moving parts. Compact design installs through a standard electrical knockout. All units are UL Listed and CE compliant.

How it worksCompressed air enters the vortex-tube-powered Cabinet Cooler® and splits into a hot stream (exhausted through a muffled outlet) and a cold stream (directed into the cabinet via the cold air distribution kit). The displaced hot air exhausts from the enclosure, creating a slight positive pressure that cools and purges without drawing room air into the control panel.
Other considerations- Filtration: Includes 5 micron automatic drain water & dirt filter; use a coalescing (oil-removal) filter if oil is present.
- Cold Air Distribution Kit: Flexible vinyl tubing, connectors and clips to route cold air to hot spots.
- Humidity: Sealed continuous-operation units stabilize around 45% relative humidity inside the enclosure; no internal condensation when installed correctly.
- Inlet Air Temperature: Approx. 54°F (30°C) temperature drop from supply air at 100 PSIG (6.9 BAR); elevated inlet temp or reduced pressure lowers capacity.
- Mounting: Installs through standard electrical knockout (1-1/2 NPS). NEMA 12 units can be top- or side-mounted; NEMA 4/4X must be mounted vertically unless using an approved Side Mount Kit.
- Solenoid Valve & Thermostat: Systems include solenoid valve and thermostat factory-set at 95°F (35°C), typical control ±2°F (1°C); solenoid options available in multiple voltages, UL/CSA rated.
- Electronic Temperature Control (ETC): Optional digital ETC with LED readout and thermocouple feedback for precise internal temperature monitoring.
