Overview
A NEMA 4X Non‑Hazardous Purge Cabinet Cooler® System provides slight positive pressure inside enclosures to prevent ingress of dirt and dust through small openings. Thermostat control activates cooling only when internal temperatures approach set thresholds (factory default 95°F / 35°C), reducing compressed‑air consumption. EXAIR Cabinet Coolers use a vortex tube to generate cold air from compressed air with no moving parts and install in minutes through a standard electrical knockout. NEMA 4X (IP66) units are dust‑tight, oil‑tight, splash‑ and corrosion‑resistant for indoor/outdoor service. All units are UL Listed and CE compliant.

How It Works
Compressed air is fed to the vortex tube within the Cabinet Cooler and split into hot and cold streams. Hot air is exhausted and muffled to atmosphere; cold air is directed into the enclosure using the cold air distribution kit. The slight positive internal pressure prevents outside air and contaminants from entering the control panel.
