Overview
NEMA 4 (IP66) Cabinet Cooler® Systems provide dust-tight, oil-tight and splash-resistant cooling and positive purge for electrical and electronic enclosures in indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Continuous-operation models deliver constant cooling using a vortex tube driven by compressed air. Systems include a water-dirt filter separator and a cold air distribution kit for targeted airflow.

How it works
Compressed air enters the vortex-tube-powered Cabinet Cooler® and is separated into hot and cold streams. Cold air is routed into the enclosure via the distribution kit while hot air is exhausted to atmosphere. The system maintains slight positive pressure to prevent ingress of contaminated ambient air.

Filtration, distribution and other details

• Standard filter: 5 micron automatic drain water and dirt filter separator to prevent condensate and particles entering the enclosure.
• Cold air distribution kit: tubing, adhesive clips and fittings for directed airflow to hot spots.
• Humidity control: when enclosure is sealed, system stabilizes relative humidity near ~45% and prevents internal condensation.
• Temperature performance: approximately 54°F (30°C) drop from supply air at 100 PSIG; vortex cold air typically ~16°F (-9°C) below ambient compressed air output.
• Materials: aluminum construction with 303 stainless steel vortex tube for corrosion resistance.
