OverviewVertical kneader for electronic thermal interface materials is an intelligent mixing solution developed by JCT for high-solid, high-viscosity thermally conductive formulations used in electronics. The machine is engineered to address issues such as extreme viscosity, temperature sensitivity, air entrapment and strict limits on metal contamination and electrical insulation.
Materials and formulationThermally conductive electronic materials are composite pastes, greases, films, pads, tapes or phase-change materials produced by dispersing inorganic thermally conductive fillers into a polymer matrix (for example silicone). Final heat-transfer performance depends primarily on filler intrinsic conductivity, filler loading level and dispersion uniformity.
Key features- Drive and sealing systems located entirely above the material zone to prevent metal contamination.
- Capable of processing materials with viscosities up to 20,000,000 cP.
- Optional ultra-wear-resistant coatings (WC, PTFE, silicon nitride) to minimise wear and avoid metal dust that could compromise electrical insulation.
- Planetary mixing action (revolution + rotation) eliminates dead zones and ensures homogeneous dispersion; supports vacuum degassing to remove entrained air/bubbles.
- Multiple interchangeable mixing vessels for efficient production, simplified discharge and easier cleaning.
