Description

Short description
  • Pilot spray dryer designed for laboratory and pilot-scale processing of water-based solutions with sanitary AISI 304 construction.
  • Process capacity: 5 L/h (≈5 kg/h).
  • Atomizer options: standard two-fluid parallel-flow nozzle or optional high-speed centrifugal atomizer.
  • Optional bag filter with pulse cleaning for exhaust treatment and product recovery.
  • Supplied with PLC control and 10" touchscreen; optional silent oil-free air compressor available.


Description
The SD-05A is an upgraded pilot spray dryer offering flexible laboratory operation and easy access for cleaning and inspection. It supports co-current atomization with a two-fluid nozzle or an optional centrifugal atomizer. Drying air is electrically heated and distributed via the H-Adv hot-air distributor to ensure uniform airflow. The drying chamber has a conical bottom (60°), a round WD door with observation window, internal lighting and sight glass. The system is delivered with PLC-based control and necessary instrumentation. All product-contact metallic parts are AISI 304 stainless steel finished to sanitary standards.

Materials of construction and surface finish
  • Product-contact metallic parts: stainless steel AISI 304.
  • External surfaces and welds: polished to Ra < 1.2 µm.
  • Internal product-contact welds (chamber, powder duct, cyclone, powder container, gas duct to bag filter): smooth finish, max Ra 0.8 µm.
  • Other internal welds: ground flush to parent sheet (grit 120).
  • Stainless steel cladding: AISI 304.
