Product overview
Inert loop spray dryer (nitrogen closed-loop spray dryer) is a closed-cycle spray drying solution for suspensions containing organic solvents such as ethanol, methanol, acetone, hexane and gas oil. The system uses an inert gas (e.g. nitrogen) as the drying medium to maintain low oxygen levels, prevent oxidation and allow solvent and gas recovery.

Applications
  • Drying of materials containing organic solvents or materials that are oxidizable, flammable or explosive.
  • Commonly used in precision ceramics, pharmaceuticals, battery materials, cemented carbide (WC-Fe) powder and related industries.

Explosion-proof & safety design
  • Three-layer explosion protection:
  • Level 1 (basic): inert gas (nitrogen) as drying medium; closed-loop keeps oxygen below safe threshold (system normal when O2 ≲ 2%).
  • Level 2 (mechanical): pressure gauges and safety valve; if tower pressure exceeds set point (e.g. >4000 Pa) safety valve opens; if O2 > 2% system vents and fills nitrogen.
  • Level 3 (final): explosion-proof rupture disk at tower top opens on abnormal overpressure to protect the system.
