Short description- Design for drying heating sensitive material
- With water vacuum pump to reduce drying temperature
- Process capacity 1.5 liters per hour
- Used for food, bio samples, medicine, milk, juice and etc.
- Dried particle size: 1 ~25um
Why need vacuum low temperature spray dryer? The rapid drying of heat-sensitive material has been troubling plenty of researchers. Common vacuum drying and spray drying can damage biological activity or structure of material. Freeze drying has disadvantages such as long drying time, low energy efficiency and produces agglomerated material that requires secondary milling.
What can vacuum low temperature spray dryer do? The SD-2000II low-temperature spray dryer is developed to combine advantages of mini spray dryers and vacuum drying. It enables very rapid drying (around 1 second) with inlet air temperatures around 50°C, preventing damage to activity or structure of heat-sensitive materials. Suitable for biological products (e.g. enzyme preparations, viable bacteria), high-sugar natural extracts, heat-labile high polymers, and materials that volatilize on heating.
Controls & Functionality- Color touch screen display for control and fast setup
- Control and adjustment of inlet temperature
- Airflow volume control
- Air compressor flow adjustment
- Pump speed control (peristaltic pump)
- Nozzle de-blocker frequency control
Spray drying equipment — Easy to use- Color touch screen for fast setup and cleaning times
- Scale up to pilot or industrial scale possible
- Visible process due to glass assembly
- Adjustable particle size (1 – 100 microns)
Two Fluid Nozzle with SUS316L stainless steel The spray assembly uses an inner liquid jet and outer compressed air tube; supplied with 0.7 mm jets by default with other sizes available. An automatic de-blocking needle (activated by integrated compressor) prevents nozzle blockage for difficult or particulate-laden feeds.
Temperature protection The heater can reach high temperatures at the end of experiments; the system includes an automatic air blower control to cool the system to a safe state and prevent operator shutdown until safe temperature is reached.
Construction Spray chamber, cyclone separator and collector are made of SUS 304 stainless steel; material-contact parts use SS316 where specified. Sight glass enables process observation. Spare parts are easy to install and clean.
