Description

Overview
The HIKMICRO G41 is a professional handheld thermal imager for building diagnostics, moisture detection, thermal-bridge identification and industrial inspection. Key features include a 480×360 IR VOx detector (172,800 pixels), NETD <35 mK, SuperIR super-resolution to 960×720, radiometric JPEG output, integrated laser distance meter, GPS and compass, IP54 protection and Wi‑Fi/USB connectivity.

Detector & Imaging
The instrument integrates a 480×360 vanadium oxide (VOx) detector with 17 µm pitch, covering the 7.5–14 µm band and offering thermal sensitivity <35 mK (25°C, F#=1.0). Proprietary SuperIR processes raise displayed resolution to 960×720 while preserving radiometric accuracy. Captured JPEG images are fully radiometric for post-processing and reporting.

Measurement ranges and accuracy
The G41 provides two selectable measurement ranges optimized for different use cases:
  • Standard range: −20°C to +150°C — accuracy ±2°C (−20 to 0°C), ±1°C (0 to 100°C), ±1% (100 to 150°C). Recommended for building diagnostics and energy audits.
  • Extended range: 0°C to +650°C — accuracy ±2°C (0 to 100°C), ±2% (100 to 650°C). Intended for high-temperature industrial inspection.

Analysis tools (real-time)
  • Centre spot, hot spot, cold spot
  • Delta T and up to 10 user-defined spots
  • 1 line, 5 rectangles and 5 circles with live temperature readout
  • Configurable high/low/interval alarms to flag anomalies

Autofocus & Distance
Five-mode focus system with ~2 s lock time and 0.3 m minimum focus distance:
  • Laser-Assisted AF — for low thermal contrast surfaces
  • Continuous AF — maintains focus while moving
  • Single AF — on-demand precise focus
  • Manual Focus — for extreme distances or complex scenes
  • Touch AF — tap the screen to focus on an anomaly

Geolocation & Field Documentation
Integrated laser distance meter (50 m indoor / 10 m outdoor, Class II, 635 nm) for direct distance and area measurement. Each image is geotagged with GPS coordinates and compass heading. On-site documentation supports voice annotations (up to 60 s), text notes (up to 200 characters) and QR code scanning for streamlined reporting.

Reporting, Connectivity & Software
  • Wi‑Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 & 5 GHz) for wireless image transfer
  • Radiometric UVC video streaming over USB Type‑C and Wi‑Fi
  • HDMI output for on-site presentation
  • Bluetooth 4.2 for auxiliary devices
  • HIKMICRO Analyzer (Windows) for professional post-processing and PDF report generation
  • HIKMICRO Viewer mobile app for image transfer and preview

Ruggedness & Power
Built for field use: IP54 protection, certified 2 m drop resistance (IEC 60068-2-31), vibration resistance 2 g (IEC 60068-2-6), shock resistance 25 g (IEC 60068-2-27). Operating range −20°C to +50°C. Hot-swappable Li‑Ion battery system supports continuous operation; standard kit includes 3 batteries (~4 h each) and a dual-slot charger for over 12 hours total.

Applications
Typical applications include building diagnostics (thermal bridges, moisture, insulation), energy audits, low-temperature systems (radiant floors), roof and facade inspection, electrical cabinet and transformer surveys, mechanical maintenance (bearings, motors), HVAC and plant inspection, manufacturing quality control, public safety, oil & gas inspections and R&D thermal testing.

Kit & Additional notes
Radiometric imaging suitable for building pathology and industrial inspection professionals. Supports professional workflows with bundled software. Rental option available.
