Description

Description
Metallic hot zones for industrial high-temperature furnaces, manufactured from high-purity refractory metals (molybdenum Mo, molybdenum‑lanthanum‑oxide ML, TZM, tungsten W). Designed for processes requiring high process purity and thermal stability without carbon contamination.

Application range
Suitable for industrial processes in the range of 900 °C to 2500 °C depending on material and geometry. Hot zones influence temperature distribution, process purity and energy consumption in coating, sintering, annealing and other thermal furnaces.

Key advantages
  • Full-metal design (no carbon) for maximum process purity.
  • Improved energy efficiency through optimized geometries and components.
  • Standardized and customer-specific configurations for diverse process requirements.
  • Reduced lead times via standardized modules and configurable options.
  • Efficient planning with an online configurator.
  • Comprehensive service: on-site and remote support, inspection, maintenance and optimization.

Product portfolio and variants
Standardized modules and fully configurable hot zones available for a wide range of geometries and process demands. Energy-optimized variants offered (Standard, Premium, Plus) to lower operating costs and CO₂ emissions.

  • Horizontal | Round
    • Example sizes: S — W390 × H390 × L600 mm; M — W1200 × H1200 × L2400 mm
    • Typical temperature range: ≤ 1650 °C
    • Materials: ML, Mo
  • Horizontal | Rectangular
    • Example sizes: S — W390 × H390 × L600 mm; L — W3000 × H3000 × L10000 mm
    • Typical temperature range: ≤ 1650 °C
    • Materials: ML, Mo
  • Vertical | Round
    • Example sizes: S — Ø400 × H800 mm; M — Ø510 × H1000 mm; L — Ø1700 × H2000 mm
    • Temperatures: M & L ≤ 1650 °C; S ≤ 2400 °C
    • Materials: W (S), ML, Mo

Available design upgrades & options
  • Low-resistance gas intake and exhaust systems to improve energy efficiency.
  • Flow Box gas outlet for enhanced temperature uniformity and easier maintenance.
  • Upgraded shieldings to further reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.

Engineering, development & simulation
FE analyses and 3D design are used to simulate hot zone behaviour under real conditions, enabling optimisation before manufacture and supporting furnace planning for coating, sintering, annealing and related processes.

Services
  • Engineering, FEM simulation and 3D design for furnace planning.
  • Replacement parts, inspection, maintenance and optimisation to minimise downtime and extend service life.
  • Remote service for rapid technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Global production network and multi-site manufacturing for reliable delivery.

Energy & sustainability
Energy-optimised variants (Premium and Plus) can reduce average energy consumption by up to 27% versus conventional systems; Premium variants typically yield up to ~11% improvement versus Standard. Benefits include lower operating costs and reduced CO₂ emissions. An online energy & CO₂ calculator helps estimate savings.

Tools
  • Online configurator for efficient custom hot zone configuration.
  • Online energy and CO₂ calculator to estimate potential savings.

Multimedia & additional information
Product video and documentation illustrate development, design and energy-saving features. Contact sales or use the configurator for detailed proposals.
