The DTU treatment tank has been developed for the processing of non-floating fruits: it helps improve fruit quality by using products that extend shelf-life. Peeled and/or cut fruit is loaded via hoppers or feeding belts and immersed in the tank while being sprayed. Depending on the customer’s requirements and the type of product, it remains immersed for 30 seconds up to 2 minutes. At the end of the process, the fruit can optionally be dried using the blower and discharged directly into a container or repositioned on a conveyor belt for further processing. The tank and conveyor belts are designed for very quick cleaning and maintenance, minimizing labor costs.
