Description

Overview
The MATIC Oil 360/2 36 is a 2-circuit oil temperature control unit designed for industrial process tempering. It provides continuous monitoring, diagnostic support and model-based predictive control to maintain target temperatures and stable flow in oil-based systems.

Functions
  • IRIS control system with touchscreen and web server access
  • Pt100 temperature sensors in supply and return lines
  • Heater control via solid-state relays (SSR)
  • Variable-speed pump with automatic eco-mode
  • Mould evacuation function
  • Leakstop operating mode

Construction method
  • Triple-bearing high-temperature pump developed and produced by Tool-Temp
  • Inverted, limescale-resistant spiral-tube heat exchanger
  • Fully immersed heaters made of Incoloy 800 (high-temperature, corrosion-resistant nickel alloy)
  • Maintenance-free flow meter
  • Stainless-steel solid piping

Safety devices
  • Multiple-redundant mechanical temperature limiter
  • Pump motor monitoring via variable frequency drive (VFD)
  • Configurable safeguard limits and automatic reactions
  • Configurable audible alarm

Controller
The IRIS control system provides local touchscreen operation and remote access via an integrated web server (LAN or WLAN). All relevant operating data (temperatures, pressures, flows, operating states, status messages, chart data and trends) are available on-board. Model-based adaptive algorithms continuously compare measured data with expected behaviour to optimise regulation, ensure uninterrupted temperature and flow control, and support predictive diagnostics.

Applications
  • Die casting
  • Plastics (injection moulding, extrusion)
  • Pharmaceutical and chemical processes
  • Rubber and silicone processing
  • Food industry
  • Wood processing
  • Laminating, printing and textile production
