Precautions of TTR Tester
  • 1. Before measurement, ensure that the tested equipment is in a power-off state and that all test terminals are not grounded.
  • 2. When measuring wiring, it is necessary to strictly follow the instructions, otherwise the consequences will be borne by oneself.
  • 3. Before testing, it is necessary to carefully check whether the set parameters are correct.
  • 4. It is best to use a grounded power outlet when charging.
  • 5. Cannot work under excessive limits.
  • 6. It is strictly prohibited to connect high and low voltage in reverse

Application Field of Transformer Turns Ratio Tester
  • It has important application value in multiple fields such as power systems, transformer manufacturing, power plants and substations, railway systems, petrochemical industry, new energy industry, as well as preventive maintenance and risk management. It has become an important tool for ensuring the stable operation of power systems and industrial production safety due to its high precision, easy operation, and intuitive data.

Battery maintenance and charging
  • The instrument uses high-performance lithium-ion rechargeable batteries as its internal power source. Operators cannot replace other types of batteries at will to avoid damage to the instrument due to incompatible voltage levels.
  • The instrument must be charged in a timely manner to avoid deep discharge of the battery affecting its lifespan. The standard charger for the instrument is a 12.6V/2A lithium battery charger, which cannot be replaced with chargers of other voltages.
  • Under normal use, it is recommended to charge the instrument as much as possible every day (preferably once a month if not in use for a long time) to avoid affecting usage and battery life. The charging time should be at least 6 hours each time. Due to the internal charging protection function, the instrument can be continuously charged.
  • After removing the battery from the instrument each time, the internal battery protection board of the instrument automatically enters a protective state. After reinstalling the battery, it cannot work directly and needs to be charged with a charger to release the protective state before it can work normally.

FAQS of Multi-function Transformer Turns Ratio Tester

  • Question 1: Which transformers is the multifunctional transformer ratio tester suitable for?
  • Answer: The multifunctional turns ratio tester is suitable for ratio testing of power transformers, distribution transformers, single-phase transformers, three-phase transformers, special transformers, and some CT/PT equipment. Supports multiple wiring methods and winding structures.

  • Question 2: In what aspects is multifunctionality reflected?
  • Answer: In addition to turns ratio, the tester can measure phase angle, polarity, vector group, excitation current, winding resistance (optional on some models), and tap changer position verification.

  • Question 3: Can the multifunctional transformer turns ratio tester be tested on-site at the substation?
  • Answer: Sure. The device adopts a portable design, with small size, light weight, and strong anti-interference ability, which is very suitable for use in substations, power plants, and power construction sites.

  • Question 4: Is the multifunctional turns ratio tester accurate in testing in strong electromagnetic environments?
  • Answer: Advanced models utilize frequency conversion technology and digital filtering algorithms to effectively suppress substation interference and ensure stable measurement results.
