The antenna system is essential to have the best performances from a transmitter and a receiver, as all technical characteristics given out from data sheets are normalized assuming an antenna impedance at 50 Ohm. Efficiency of energy radiation is directly correlated to antenna efficiency.

THE LÜNEBERG ANTENNA
Luneberg lenses are used in microwave communication.
Luneberg lenses can be excited by one or several feeds, providing multi-feed antennae with extremely high directivity and high theoretical gain G, equivalent to the gain of a parabolic antenna of similar diameter.

JB Series 30 MHz - 6 GHz:
JB Series antennas are compact, high-performance instruments designed for EMC emissions and immunity testing. The broadband characteristics of these antennas enable them to operate over a wide frequency range - a must for automated test environments. Innovative design and manufacturing techniques result in long-lasting strength and mechanical integrity. The result is an electrically stable measuring instrument that maintains calibration over extended use.
The antenna boom is made from a custom aluminum extrusion that reduces the number of parts at the nose. The result is a stronger, more stable feedpoint and excellent cross-polarization properties. The unique shape allows for a larger feed cable to be used, which significantly increases the maximum power rating. Dipole elements are permanently attached to the boom by an assembly technique that maintains excellent electrical characteristics for the life of the antenna.
The low-frequency wings are swept forward and turned in at the ends to reduce ground plane coupling while maintaining performance. Each wing is attached with dual compression fittings for true alignment. A tough powdercoat finish with UV inhibitors seals the aluminum structure and protects it from sunlight and moisture. |

Class 2 Bluetooth® module for Data or Audio transmission
This miniature module enables full duplex Bluetooth® data or audio transmissions over 20m.
It uses the international 2.45 GHz frequency band as described by European Directive RTTE / EN300-328 / EN301-489 and US FCC part 15.This module is Bluetooth V2 “End Product” certified, meaning users are able to directly use the Bluetooth® logo. Data transmission and configuration are both managed through UART-type TTL serial interface. The air rate is 723kbps. Miniature antenna is included.
When using “Data” version, serial connection with every PDAs, laptops, GSM Bluetooth® devices become possible through the embedded SPP profile ; a PC/PDA can have a remote COM port added. A mobile phone can be used as a GPRS or SMS modem...

This miniature module enables two-way Bluetooth® transmission over a range of 150m.
It uses the 2.45GHz world frequency band according to the European directive RTTE EN300-220 / EN301-489.
This module is fully compliant with the Bluetooth V2.0 EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) standard.
Its %u201Cair%u201D data rate goes up to 3Mbps, if EDR mode is supported on both sides. Data transmission and setup are performed via a standard or complete UART serial interface.
The miniature antenna is integrated on the PCB. The module is available as Stand-alone modules or in DemoKit.

Cushcraft, a unit of Laird Technologies new variable beamwidth antenna brings the ultimate in versatility to high performance broadband wireless access antenna suite. J330114V01-AN offers 45, 60, 90 and 120 degree H-plane beamwidth adjustability in one ETSI CS2 compliant package.
Many variable beamwidth antennas force the user to gain access to the radome enclosure in order to make adjustments. The process is time consuming and makes testing cumbersome. Field disassembly of any high performance sector antenna also increases the risk of improper reassembly and the introduction of moisture or contaminants.
Adjustments are made to the antenna using a locking adjustment mechanism that is accessed without having to disassemble the antenna. The user makes adjustments, locks down the adjustment mechanism and the job is done. On site testing of various beamwidth options is a snap since the antenna does not have to be disassembled and reassembled with each change.
