The Wi.232DTS-R module combines a state-of-the art low power wireless transceiver with a powerful multipoint-to-multipoint protocol controller to form a transparent wireless communication solution capable of replacing wires in any RS-232/422/485 application. With a 115dB link budget and very low power operating modes, the Wi.232DTS-R module is excellent for AMR, RFID, Home Automation, and any other application requiring long range (<1600ft LOS) and long battery life .
The module is designed to be totally transparent. No special addressing or formatting of data is required. Data is validated using an internally generated CRC-16 and encoded using a proprietary algorithm. Multiple modules can operate on the same channel because of the built-in carrier-sense-multiple-access (CSMA) protocol.
The transceiver operates in two modes: low-power and DTS. In low-power mode, transmitter output power is 0dBm and the maximum data rate is 38.4kbit/sec. In DTS mode, the output power is +12dBm and the maximum data rate is 152.34kbit/sec. The DTS mode takes advantage of the FCC Part 15 Digital Transmission System (DTS) rules. Under this provision, the transmitters can operate at a higher output power if the transmission bandwidth is at least 500kHz. This means the Wi.232DTS-R can achieve +12 dBm out put power without having to use frequency hopping or direct sequence spreading techniques. This translates to fast synchronization times allowing longer duty cycles, simpler RF protocol and longer battery life for portable applications.

The radio transceiver ARM-C8 complete the ARM radio modems range and offers a solution for all users who want a wireless function on their equipment. The versatile ARM-C8 features radio transmission that uses the license-free ISM bands: 868MHz (and 433MHz in option). The radio channel and the transmission power can be set by Hayes commands. The A.R.M. series enables link range from 1 to 2km in 10mW and a least 5km in 500mW. Very easy to integrate and to use, the ARM-C8 can operate in transparent or securized mode (serial port Baudrate up to 115200bps). The firmware includes most of all the current features required for radio transmission applications. The ARM-C8 is a small 64x32mm card to be directly solded on a PCB (12 points). The power supply is 5V (350mA max in 500mW Tx) or 3-3.3V with the low power version.

Many applications have a need for a bidirectional data transfer or an acknowledge back to the transmitter.

The Wi.M868T-R™ 868-870MHz transmitter module is a microcontroller-less version of our popular Wi.232DTS-R™ and Wi.232FHSS-25-R™ modules. It offers the same excellent RF performance, yet allows the design engineer to control the radio at the physical level using any microcontroller.
The module is footprint compatible with the many of the Wi.232 family of radios, including the 900MHz Wi.232DTS-R, Wi.232FHSS-25-R, Wi.M900X-R, and the European 868MHz Wi.232EUR-R, and Wi.M868X-R. The Wi.M868T-R supports wide-band mode, where the channel width is 600kHz and also a narrow-band mode where the channel width is 200kHz.The module is configured via a simple SPI style serial interface. Data is transmitted and received using a separate digital serial interface that includes pre-amble and start-of-packet detection.
Maximum transmit power is +15dBm. Maximum receive sensitivity is -112dBm. The transmitter draws 62mA typical at +15dBm. The module has 32 wideband and 84 narrowband channels available.
A footprint compatible module companion version is available in 902-928 MHz for the North American market Wi.M900T-R.
A typical circuit consists of a low-cost microcontroller, a power source, a Wi.M868T-R module, and an antenna. The RK-Wi.M868X development kit is available to support evaluation of this product with separate Wi.M868X-EVM-R evaluation modules for additional wireless node development. The Wi.M868X-R is very similar to the Wi.M868T-R except the Wi.M868T-R is configured as a uni-directional transmitter only device where the Wi.M868X-R is a bi-directional transceiver module. The AS8202NF communication controller is an integrated device supporting serial communication according to the TTP specification version 1.1. It performs all communication tasks such as reception and transmission of messages in a TTP cluster without interaction of the host CPU. TTP provides mechanisms that allow the deployment in high-dependability distributed real-time systems. It provides the following services:

The CNI (communication network interface) forms a temporal firewall. It decouples the Controller network from the host subsystem by use of a dual ported RAM (CNI). This prevents the propagation of control errors. The interface to the host CPU is implemented as a 16-bit wide non-multiplexed asynchronous bus interface. TTP follows a conflict-free media access strategy called time division multiple access (TDMA). This means, TTP deploys a time slot technique based on a global time that is permanently synchronised. Each node is assigned a time slot in which it is allowed to perform transmit operation.
