Ausco has done a great deal of development in hydraulic calipers over the last several years. We have developed new calipers for everything from sprayers and airport tow tractors to utility vehicles, with many more new designs on the way. Ausco continues to innovate in this area with features such as self-retracting seals, which ensure caliper piston retraction and long lining life, and modular calipers, which allow the caliper to be used with either a fixed or a floating mount.
|
|
Airflex caliper design features opposed pistons for balanced braking. Their symmetrical split construction accommodate discs of any thickness and permits mounting from either side or at the split line.
Type DP is ideally suited for most stopping and light tensioning applications. An automatic adjustment mechanism compensates for lining wear and maintains constant release clearance and response time.
Model H is suited for stopping high inertia loads on large diameter discs. Its design automatically compensates for disc run out.
|
|
With hand drive operation, pneumatic, hydraulic. To slow down, stop, maintain, control. Emergency stop for lack of pressure. Automatic offsetting and continues wear of the trimmings to guarantee a constant air-gap.
Couples to 37.500 Nm.

The following spring applied, pneumatically released brakes are but a small example of the choices available. These brakes can be conveniently hooked up to shop air supplies or powered by seperate compressors. Most include convenient features such as; automatic pad wear adjustment, torque adjustment, quick change pads, modular design and easy maintenance.

YP series electro-hydraulic disc brakes are high performance products acted on high speed shafts of drive mechanism, which have advanced function such as automatic shoe clearance balancing and lining automatic wear compensation. The brakes in service are basically free of maintenance. Meanwhile, various limit switches can be equipped to provide the main machinery with necessary interlocking protection signals. Therefore, if fits very well for mechanism deceleration and stop/braking of various large and special handling machinery with high self-control, hoisting and metallurgical machinery.
|
|
Our disc brakes are designed to operate in the most arduous conditions, typically in the steel industry where the operating environment is extreme, and the container industry where reliable operation all year round is expected.
Twiflex brakes are often specified for the main hoist, acting as service brakes mounted on the input shaft and as emergency brakes mounted on the output shaft or directly on the main drum

The Electro-Thrust Shoe Brakes have been in service for over 10 years. AISE sizes range from 8 inches in diameter up to 30 inch diameter wheels. Torque values range from 100 foot-pounds to 9,000 ft./lbs.! We also manufacture a line of non-AISE rated brakes. The brakes are spring set for fail-safe operation with an electro-hydraulic actuator that overcomes a setting spring and releases the brake.
|
|
Various designs of electrically operated brakes are available, including the EMX system illustrated. Electrically operated brakes may be used in a variety of applications including; travel motion on cranes, conveyor braking, turbine braking, elevator and escalator braking.

YLZ series wheel brakes are new storm braking devices, directly acted on the wheel to realize storm braking in the function of wheel pressure. They are extensively used for outdoor middle and large cranes, port handling machinery, and construction machinery as storm braking under operational state and as auxiliary storm braking under non-operational state. The brakes are mainly used for passive wheel braking. Together with active wheel on high speed shaft adopting two-step brake, it’s better and more economical to realize full wheel storm braking.
Design features:
●Normal closed design,safe and reliable; disc spring set and hydraulic release.
●With limit swtich the brake can give the interlocking protection.
●Brake lining is made from a non-asbestos hard material,which has high and stable friction performance,not sensitive to water, acid and other environmental agents.
●All fasteners and spindles are made of stainless steel.

RINGSPANN- Disc Brakes can be used for various functions, i.e.
as a parking brake it prevents the unintended start of a stationary shaft;
as a stopping brake it brings a rotating shaft to a standstill in a short time, even when this is only in connection with a power failure or emergency stop;
as a control brake it maintains a certain tension in the material.
Brake callipers or brake saddles may be arranged in any position on disc brakes of varying diameters. By using several brake callipers on the same disc it is possible to increase the brake torque without the need to enlarge the installation dimensions to any great extend. All brakes are available with an electric wear indicator and with automatic wear adjustment.
