OverviewA long-travel contact-type extensometer designed to measure displacement up to specimen breakpoint in tensile tests of rubber and other soft materials. The upper and lower arms clamp to gauge positions with a single operation; each arm independently tracks sample elongation.
Features- 1000 mm maximum movement distance, enabling elongation measurements up to 4000% (10 mm gauge), 2000% (20 mm), 1600% (25 mm) or 1000% (40 mm). A floating arm mechanism (patent pending) prevents arm disengagement during large elongations.
- ±0.2% relative elongation measurement precision for displacements between 50 mm and 1000 mm, allowing accurate long-distance measurements.
- Lateral quick clamping for easy centering of the extensometer edge with the sample; can be attached to the sample before chucking.
