Description

Introduction
The FHG-II series strain wave drive integrates a cross-roller bearing coupling for the wave generator to enable automatic fine adjustment of coaxiality. The camshaft bore can be adapted to the customer's motor model. The input shaft fits directly into the inner bore of the wave generator and connects via a flat key. A built-in high-rigidity cross-roller main bearing supports the assembly. Typical connection methods are rigid wheel end fixed with flexspline output, or flexspline fixed with rigid wheel end output.

Key features
  • Wave generator with cross-roller bearing coupling for simplified installation and automatic coaxial fine-tuning.
  • Excellent rotational and positioning accuracy (low backlash).
  • High torque capacity across multiple reduction ratios.
  • High structural rigidity with integrated cross-roller main bearing.
  • Coaxial input and output for compact drivetrain integration.
  • Input shaft direct-fit with flat key; camshaft bore size customizable to motor models.

Performance summary
  • Performance tables provide rated torque at 2000 rpm input, permissible peak torque at start/stop, permissible maximum average-load torque, permissible maximum input speed (grease), backlash (arc sec), weight (kg) and design life (hours) per model and reduction ratio.
  • Example rated torque ranges (selected): Model 14 (50–120 ratios) — rated torques from ~7 to ~36 Nm depending on ratio; Model 17 — higher rated torques (e.g., 21–70 Nm); Model 20/25/32/40 — progressively higher rated torques up to several hundred Nm as size increases.
