IntroductionThe FHG-II strain wave drive (series FHG) integrates a wave generator with a cross-roller bearing coupling that enables automatic fine-tuning of coaxiality. The cam-shaft bore can be adjusted to match the customer's motor; the input shaft fits into the wave generator inner bore and connects via a flat key. A built-in cross-roller main bearing provides the primary support. Typical connection methods are: rigid wheel fixed with flexspline output, or flexspline fixed with rigid wheel output.
Key features- Wave generator with cross-roller bearing coupling for simplified installation.
- Excellent rotational accuracy and positioning precision.
- High torque capacity across available models.
- High structural rigidity with coaxial input and output.
- Adjustable cam-shaft bore to suit customer motor interfaces; direct input-shaft fitting with flat key.
Performance & tables (summary)Detailed technical tables are provided per model (FHG-14, FHG-17, FHG-20, FHG-25, FHG-32, FHG-40) and per reduction ratio. Available data include:
- Starting torque table (unit: cNm) by type and reduction ratio.
- Rated torque at 2000 r/min input, permissible peak torque at start/stop, and permissible average-load torque.
- Permissible maximum input speed, backlash (Arc Sec), weight and design life for each model/ratio.
- Moment load capacities (Mb, Ft, Fa) and instant permissible values per model.
Connection & mechanical notes- Cam-shaft bore size is adaptable to customer motor models.
- Input shaft inserts directly into the wave generator inner bore and is secured with a flat key.
- Standard integration: either rigid-wheel fixed / flexspline output or flexspline fixed / rigid-wheel output depending on installation.
