Card-style design that meets diverse industrial control requirements. In addition to standard PLC functions, the XL5 series delivers faster processing (approximately 15× XC series), expanded internal resource space, high-speed pulse outputs and flexible expansion options with right-side expansion modules and left-side ED modules.

• Basic functions and configuration: Program capacity 512 KB; basic instruction execution 0.02–0.05 μs; max I/O 576 points; I/O sequential control.
• High-speed input and output: 2–10 CH 100 kHz pulse outputs (model dependent); 3–4 CH high-speed counting (up to 80 kHz single-phase, up to 50 kHz AB phase).
• Communication: RS232, RS485; X-NET fieldbus; USB port for high-speed download (up to 12 Mbps).
